Fifth grade students expand their worldviews through an investigation of ancient civilizations and cultures. An examination of historical perspective and documentation provides an awareness of the shifting nature of recorded history. Ancient China and Greece are investigated, compared, and contrasted, and the contributions of each civilization are contextualized through the various academic disciplines.
